Welcome to Luang Prabang, one of the most pleasant cities in Southeast Asia and a revered UNESCO World Heritage site. Located in northern Laos, at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, this sacred city boasts golden-roofed wats, saffron-robed monks, and charming remnants of French colonial architecture.
Upon your arrival at Luang Prabang International Airport (LPQ), you will be warmly welcomed by your tour guide and driver.
After a comfortable transfer to your hotel and check-in, take some time to relax and settle in.
Evening: You will be taken to a local restaurant for a tasty welcome dinner, introducing you to the delicious flavors of Lao cuisine.
After dinner, you have the option to spend your free evening joining the lively Night Market, Browse a wide array of handicrafts and souvenirs, or simply relaxing at your hotel.

Optional Early Morning: For a fantastic and unique opportunity, you can choose to participate in the daily morning alms giving ritual (Tak Bat) to saffron-clad monks. This serene tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving this peaceful procession. Afterward, stop and visit vibrant fresh local markets to observe daily life before returning to your hotel for breakfast.
Morning: Depart to visit Wat Visoun, a temple significant for its impressive Thad Makmo stupa, whose rounded dome stylistically hints at Sinhalese influence. Continue your spiritual journey to Wat Aham.
Then, visit Vat Xiengthong, the most photographed temple in Luang Prabang, renowned for its stunning architecture and intricate details. Located elegantly at the end of the peninsula, near the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers, it represents classical Laotian artistry.
Afternoon: Continue your exploration with a visit to the former Royal Palace, which now serves as the National Museum. Here, you can discover a fascinating range of historical artifacts and royal treasures.
Conclude your city tour at Wat Mai, a temple renowned for its golden bas-reliefs. During Pimai, the Lao New Year, the sacred Prabang Buddha image normally housed in the Royal Palace Museum is brought and put on public display in this temple.

Morning: Transfer to the pier where you will board a traditional long-tail boat for a relaxing cruise upstream on the mighty Mekong River. Enjoy stunning mountain scenery and witness the simple rural lifestyles of the communities living along the riverbanks.
You will reach the mystical Pak Ou Caves at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers. These two linked caves house hundreds of sacred, centuries-old Buddha images, which are objects of deep reverence and pilgrimage, especially during the Lao New Year festivities around mid-April.
Cruise back towards Luang Prabang. On the way, stop and visit Ban Xangkhong, a traditional weaving village. Here, you can observe local artisans at work and even try your hand at the wooden looms with guidance from local experts, gaining practical experience in their craft.
Afternoon: Drive through picturesque green rice paddies and local farms, enjoying the scenic countryside. Upon your arrival at the spectacular Kuang Si Waterfall, embark on a short walk along the trails of the falls.
Visit the Bear Rescue Center located within the park, which provides a sanctuary for rescued Asiatic black bears.
Enjoy spectacular views of the multi-tiered waterfalls as they cascade over calcified tiers and down several hundred feet into a series of cool, inviting turquoise pools. You can swim in the refreshing waters or simply relax and take in the stunning natural beauty.
