Day 1: Vientiane – Arrival & Capital's Spiritual Gems

Welcome to Vientiane, the serene capital of Laos! Upon your arrival, we'll ensure a smooth transfer to your hotel. After a short break to refresh, we'll dive into the city's spiritual heart. Explore Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in Vientiane, known for its thousands of miniature Buddha statues. Discover Wat Prakeo, a former royal temple housing the Emerald Buddha, and marvel at the golden splendor of Pha That Luang Stupa, a national symbol of Laos.

Day 2: Vang Vieng – Pristine Landscapes & Riverside Adventures

Today, we journey north to the picturesque town of Vang Vieng, renowned for its stunning karst landscapes and tranquil river. Here, you can choose your adventure: enjoy a relaxing tubing experience along the Nam Song River, soaking in the breathtaking views of the towering limestone mountains, or embark on a walk to explore the magnificent mountain scenery and visit fascinating caves in the surrounding area.

Day 3: Xieng Khouang – Unveiling the "Plain of Jars"

After breakfast, we transfer from Vang Vieng to Phonsavan, the gateway to ancient mysteries. Enjoy lunch en route. Upon arrival in Phonsavan, check into your hotel and refresh. This afternoon, we'll visit Plain of Jars Site No. 1, just 6 km from town. Witness hundreds of ancient, enigmatic stone jars scattered across the landscape, a mysterious archaeological site recognized by UNESCO and poised for World Heritage status. As the day ends, enjoy the surreal scenery of sunset casting long shadows over these ancient relics.

  • This morning, delve further into the enigma with a visit to Plain of Jars Site No. 2. If time permits, we'll also explore Plain of Jars Site No. 3. After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to Muang Khoun, the former capital city of Xieng Khouang, which was heavily destroyed during the American bombing campaigns of the war. We'll also make some visits to local hill tribe minority villages before returning to Phonsavan.

Day 4: Luang Prabang – Journey to the Ancient Capital

Start your day early with a visit to the Central Market of Phonsavan, a lively hub where different hill tribe communities gather to barter and exchange their unique merchandise. It's a fascinating glimpse into local life. In the afternoon, we embark on a scenic drive to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city. Along the way, we'll make stops at interesting local spots, soaking in the beautiful Laotian countryside.

Day 5: Luang Prabang – City Gems, Waterfalls & Departure

This morning, immerse yourself in the spiritual and historical essence of Luang Prabang. Begin with a visit to the National Museum, housed in the former Royal Palace, where you'll gain a deeper understanding of local history and the rich Lao culture. Continue your exploration at the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, known for its sweeping roofs, and the serene Wat Saen and Wat Visoun. After lunch, we'll visit the nearby traditional Tai Lue weaving village of Ban Phanom, renowned for its exquisite textiles. Our final natural wonder for the tour is the very scenic Tad Sae Waterfall (seasonal), where you can admire the cascades and cool off in its inviting pools.
