Welcome to Hanoi! Upon your arrival at the airport, our friendly driver will greet you and provide a comfortable transfer to your hotel. After you've had a chance to refresh and settle in, prepare for a captivating city tour. You'll delve into Hanoi's most significant historical and cultural sites, including the solemn Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Ho Chi Minh Museum, the revered Temple of Literature (Vietnam's first national university), the insightful Ethnology Museum (showcasing the nation's diverse ethnic groups), and the picturesque Ngoc Son Temple nestled on Hoan Kiem Lake. It's the perfect introduction to Hanoi's profound heritage.
After breakfast at your Hanoi hotel, our journey to the magnificent Ha Long Bay begins, departing at approximately 8:00 AM. Upon arrival at the pier, you'll step aboard your comfortable cruise vessel, greeted with a delectable lunch. As you dine, prepare to be captivated as your boat gracefully cruises through thousands of stunning islands and islets, each a unique masterpiece sculpted by nature. Following lunch, you can freshen up in your cabin before diving into an afternoon of adventure: explore the impressive Surprising Cave (Sung Sot Cave), paddle through the serene waters on a kayaking excursion, or take a refreshing swim in the emerald bay. As the day draws to a close, return to the vessel, enjoy a drink, and witness the truly spectacular sunset painting the sky over the bay.
Add-On Option: Extended Ha Long Bay Stay
Wake up early to join an invigorating Tai Chi session on the sundeck, welcoming the new day. Enjoy a delicious breakfast onboard as your cruise continues its scenic journey. We'll then make our way back to the pier, passing by the Ha Long Pearl Farm for a glimpse into pearl cultivation. Relax and have lunch on board while bidding farewell to the crew. Upon disembarking, you'll be transferred back to Hanoi, then directly to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
This morning, we'll delve into the rich history of Ho Chi Minh City. Our exploration begins at the Reunification Palace (Independence Palace), the historic home and workplace of the former South Vietnamese president, which played a pivotal role in the war's end. Next, visit the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral, a stunning example of French colonial architecture, and learn about its unique history. Continue your tour at the War Remnants Museum, which offers a powerful and thought-provoking look into the harsh realities and enduring impact of the Vietnam War.
In the afternoon, we'll journey approximately 60km outside the city to Cu Chi. Here, you can delve into the intricate system of the Cu Chi Tunnels, an impressive feat of underground engineering that played a significant strategic role during the Vietnam War. Afterwards, enjoy a taste of history with tea and cassava (a staple food for guerrillas during the war). Once the tour is complete, we'll make our way back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Following breakfast at your hotel, we will depart from Ho Chi Minh City and head south towards Ben Tre, the gateway to the Mekong Delta. Our journey will include a fascinating boat trip along the mighty Mekong River, during which we will visit various family-run businesses that exemplify the idyllic rural lifestyle. You'll have the opportunity to taste local products and experience the unique charm of this watery landscape. We will also have the chance to stroll through a lush fruit plantation village, enjoying the fresh produce. Finally, we return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel. Spend your leisure time exploring more of Ho Chi Minh City at your own pace, perhaps doing some last-minute souvenir shopping or simply soaking in the city's dynamic atmosphere, until we provide a comfortable transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
